Child Safety Lessons
Dear Parents,
This week we are teaching Child Safety in the Grade 4 classrooms.
The students will be learning:
Ways to stay safe: Students will learn to recognize if something is unsafe, report to an adult and refuse to participate.
Touching safety: Students will learn about unsafe, unwanted and private touch. They will learn how to use the private body parts rule to identify unsafe situations and will practice how to report and refuse.
Assertiveness: During these lessons students will practice responding assertively in an unsafe situation.
Alison (Elementary Counsellor) will teach lessons to each of the Grade 4 classes. Homeroom teachers will reinforce the safety rules and do additional activities with the students to help them practice being assertive and telling an adult when they feel unsafe.
If you have questions about the Child Safety curriculum please contact your child’s homeroom teacher or Alison Stanton alisonstanton@ispp.edu.kh
Thank you for helping us keep our students safe.
