PE and unpacking essential agreement

Today saw the class attend their first PE lesson with Mr Ben and creating our class essential agreement.
Mr Ben had them playing some collaborative games.

Our class essential agreement is starting to take place. The class will discuss it for an final time and will then all agree on the wording.

ISA testing in full swing

Today was the start of the G3-G5 ISA testing. It was the quietest I have seen the class be all year.

Today the class had the mathematic literacy test and narrative writing. Tomorrow will be reading and persuasive writing.

There was some great thinking and perseverance going on.

Good luck to everyone.

Class Essential Agreement

This week we have been working on our class Essential Agreement.

It was amazing to see the original 25+ class rules that we came up with being narrowed down and reworked to just 8 quality essentials.

They had to take away the word "DON'T" AND "NO".

What do you think of these essential agreements.

PE Essential Agreement

Today the class had their first PE session with Mr Ben.

After spending some time burning off energy they settled down to create their "Essential Agreements" for PE.

The class came up with some great ideas about being safe and having fun.

Welcome - First day

Today was the start of the school year at ISPP.

Everyone was excited and nervous (even Mr Simon) to be back at school and to find out who was in their class.

Today we spent time creating our class rules (soon to be essential agreements). They had to work in groups and come up with the rules they would like to have in the class.
There sure were a lot of rules. We will relook at them again over the next few days.

We also spent some time creating (illustrating) what our new school vision means to them. Some wonderful illustrations being created.
