Today we had Esther from "Better Factories Cambodia" come to talk to the grade about what it is to be a leader. Esther is the CEO of an NGO that looks at the rights of garment factory workers in Cambodia.
She reminded the grade that a good leader thinks about others.
They ask themselves "How did I think it went?" "How did it go?" "How could I do that differently?"
She was asked why did she want to be a leader and her reply was to help people, to make a change in their lives.
We have been researching different leaders and that is the one thing that all leaders have in common. They want to make a difference, make a change.
Esther reminded the children that being a leader is not about telling people what to do. That leaders learn from their mistakes and ask for help and feedback. That we can all learn to become a leader.
Esther was very inspiring. She also talked about following your dream and doing something you love and enjoy.
