Angkor Wat Fun run bike trip

On Friday 63 children boarded two buses to Siem Reap for the annual fun bike & run trip.

After 7 hours on the bus and two toilet stops we arrived in Siem Reap and checked into our hotel Angkor Empress Hotel.


The children got to spend a couple of hours hanging around the pool before enjoying a lovely buffet dinner.

Everyone was in bed by 8.30pm as they had to be up at 4.30am to get ready for their 17-34km bike.



On Saturday afternoon we explored Angkor Wat temple but were all tucked up in bed by 8am as Sunday was another 4.30am start this time for the 3km run leg.





After the run was completed it was a mad dash back to the hotel to have breakfast, shower, pack up the rooms and head back to Phnom Penh.

Another 7hour bus trip. The trip back was very quiet as two 4.30am starts had made the children very tired.


It was really nice to see all the happy parents waiting for the children after their busy weekend away.
