Mystery readers & Book Parade
This week is Book week and we have had 3 mystery readers come into our class to read us their favourite stories.
Ms Hodge from secondary, Ms Paula and Ms Janet.
It was really nice for the class to experience other teachers in our room to share us their favourite stories.
On Friday it was our character book week dress up. Children and staff came as their favourite book character. Mr Simon came as Stanley Yelnats from his favourite book "Holes".
It was great seeing so many dressed up.

Visiting author and Poem in my pocket
This week is "Book Week". We have David M. Schwartz a author visiting our school. He has written several books with the theme of numbers.
He spoke to the Grade about how animals are fascinating to study as they also relate to mathematics. The patterns on their bodies as well has their body parts.
"How much is a Million?", "If you hopped like a frog" and "Millions to Measure" to name a few.
Today was "Poem in your pocket" where each child had a poem and had to read it to someone. Our class choose to read to our G1 buddy class, Ms Kelly. It was a great way for the buddies to share their poems.
We have also had mystery readers reading to different classes through out the week. I wonder who will come and read to us.....
