Grade 5 Exhibition Dress Rehearsal

Today the grade 4 classes were invited to take part in the dress rehearsal of the G5 exhibitions.

They were put into small groups and got the opportunity to view two groups perform. They were then encouraged to ask the groups questions about they had inquired into and what action they were taking.

This year the G5 used "How we express ourselves" as the means to show what they had inquired into. Each group looked into a global issue. This lead to a lot of groups performing (dramas) and documentaries.

The G5 children will present their work to the parents and school community Thursday evening and to the remainder of the elementary school Friday morning.
It was a little view into what the G4 will expect next year.

Science with G8 class

Today the class was invited over to join a grade 8 class to learn that chemicals can be divided to 3 categories - Acid, Base & Neutral.

With the help of G8 buddy they each had to find the indicators to identify the chemical.

Mr Jan reminded the class of the importance of safety working with chemicals and then he set the children off to use different indicators to find the best to identify the chemical.

Treasure Island Musical

This week the elementary G4 & G5 children are busy with their performance of "Treasure Island".

Under the watchful eye of Ms Claire, Ms Lisa, Ls Leigh, Ms Karyn and Ms Elaine the musical hit the stage.
It was a great opening night and all the children performed superbly.

The show will run for 3 performances and we wish all the performers the best.

"Break a leg" as they would say.
